Guess David gets a new night light

Saw the radiation oncologist today. My regular oncologist didn't think I would have to get radiation, but wanted me to get a consult just in case. The radiation doc said he had been thinking about my case and was on the fence, but in the end decided I should get radiation. If I don't get it, I have a 20% chance of the cancer coming back. So I agreed to do it. I have to get treatment 5 days a week for 6 weeks. Ugh. But they said it is a very quick visit and would work with my schedule. It is what it is, I suppose. The doctor told me that there are no side effects other than a sunburn like irritation on the skin where they do it. My biggest worry is for my left arm. I have some mild lymphedema and radiation will make it worse. But my therapist is already working on it, so we'll just have to stay on top of it.

Me too! But this is just one more thing to keep me healthy. Worth it in the end.

Thanks. It is annoying but better than having cancer again. :) I'm done with this whole cancer thing!
